The Best CZ Pistols for Concealed Carry
CZ is better known for steel-framed range guns than for pocket pistols, but it makes several good carry guns. The right one depends on how you dress, how much weight you will tolerate on your belt, and which trigger you shoot well.
1. CZ P-10 C — the default choice
If you want one answer, it is this. The P-10 C is a striker-fired compact 9mm with a 15-round magazine, a polymer frame and a trigger that is better than it needs to be for the price. It sits in the same size class as the pistols most carriers already use, so holsters are easy to find. Buy the optics-ready version if a red dot is in your plans.
2. CZ P-10 S — when concealment comes first
The subcompact P-10 S shortens both slide and grip. It disappears under a T-shirt more easily and gives up capacity and some control in exchange. Shoot one before buying: small guns are harder to shoot well, and a gun you cannot hit with is not a better carry gun because it is smaller.
3. CZ P-07 — for hammer-gun shooters
The P-07 is a compact polymer pistol with an external hammer. It ships with a decocker and can be converted to a manual safety, which suits people who want a double-action first shot or a thumb safety on a carry gun.
4. CZ 75 Compact — steel, if you can carry the weight
The 75 Compact brings the classic 75 feel to a shorter gun. It is heavy for a compact, which makes it soft-shooting and accurate, and less pleasant on the belt by evening. A sturdy gun belt and a good holster make it workable.
5. Shadow 2 Carry and Compact — competition feel in a carry size
These shorten the Shadow 2 for daily wear. They have the best triggers here and they are the heaviest. They make sense for people who shoot a full-size Shadow 2 in matches and want the same manual of arms every day.
